政府关系

Barnard’s 政府关系 is housed in the Office of the President.

政府关系 liaises with elected and appointed government officials and community leaders, advises the President and 高级职员 on all government activities impacting the College, and keeps the College up to date on current legislation and issues critical to higher education. 

This area also coordinates the College’s legislative agenda; works directly with government officials and agencies to expand high-impact programming in both neighboring communities and citywide; and liaises with the city and statewide organizations, 游说团体, and members of the Barnard community who want to engage with the public sector.  

政府关系 also serves as a key point of contact for regional businesses, 行业组织, 机构, 居民, and community partners, including but not limited to higher education, 非营利组织, 社区委员会, and neighborhood associations.

截至2023年, Barnard’s campus in Morningside Heights is in the 13th Congressional District, the 30th State Senate District, the 69th Assembly District, and the 7th City Council District.
